On the 18th of November I have been invited to participate to the PONDERFUL workshop about developing policy for ponds: how should we use and finance ponds as natural based solutions for tackling the freshwater biodiversity and climate crisis?

The workshop investigated how stakeholders interact with the pondscape (i.e., area of landscape with a group of ponds) and how climate change might affect it.
The organisers asked us how we view our pondscape and how we can improve them.
We did several activities and sessions aimed to investigate our preference for what we would like our pondscape to look like in the future, to understand the value and benefits of ponds and to identify appropriate nature-based solution measures. We gave suggestions on how to design landscapes to maximise the benefits from ponds.
The workshop was very interesting and I am looking forward to participate to the following!
